Yeah, this album got hyped to hell and back when it came out, but now, 8 years on and divorced from the internet hype machine, it still holds up for me. Deafheaven still haven't managed to top this album in my opinion. It's a pitch-perfect marriage of black metal and shoegaze, of fury and melancholy. Worthy of all the praise heaped upon it.

Complètement subjugué à la première écoute. Ensuite j'ai vu la vidéo youtube avec les photos, tellement intime et introspectif. Puis j'ai réécouté dans ma voiture à l'arrêt, en profitant des moindres détails. Ca faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas entendu quelque chose d'aussi beau. Merci du fond du coeur.
